✨ Create the perfect Easter atmosphere with DIY plaster eggs 🐣
DIY projects are a lovely way to add a personal touch to your home décor—and at Easter, it's especially fun to get creative with the family. In this blog, we’ll show you how to easily make beautiful plaster eggs that are perfect for decorating your Easter table.
These plaster eggs are super easy to make and ideal to craft with children during weekends or school holidays. Combine them with our lovely LED lights from LED Nordic, and you have the recipe for a warm and cosy Easter ambience.
What you need:
-
1 cup crafting plaster
-
½ cup water
-
1 empty 500 ml water bottle
-
1 funnel (you can make one by cutting a bottle neck)
-
Balloons
How to do it:
-
Pour the plaster into the empty bottle using the funnel—tap it gently to send all plaster down.
-
Add the water.
-
Screw on the lid and shake well.
-
Want to colour your eggs? Add a little paint and shake again. If too thick, add more water—it should feel like a lightly melted milkshake. 😉
-
Blow up a balloon and twist it a few times to seal air in.
-
Place the balloon over the bottle opening and pour the plaster mix in.
-
Tie the balloon and roll it for 5–10 minutes to evenly distribute the plaster.
-
Let the eggs dry for 1–2 hours.
-
Carefully cut off the balloon when dry—they can be fragile.
Decorate as you like
Once your plaster eggs are ready, let your creativity run wild. We’ve decorated ours with daffodils, put them in small straw nests, and paired them with our LED tealights and pretty Luna block lights—perfect for a cosy and safe Easter vibe.
Our LED lights are ideal for décor because they stay cool and pose no fire hazard, meaning you can freely decorate your eggs with peace of mind.
